Stormwater pollution occurs when rain water runoff transports oil, grease, fertilizer, pesticide, and trash to our fragile washes. Keeping stormwater clean and protecting our desert is a job for all of us.

Now Available to Middle School Teachers and Students!

Stormwater in the Desert is a multi-media based activity book with a curriculum that teaches stormwater principles, wash safety and rainwater harvesting.  This 30-page book uses ample color graphics, web-based resources, flash animation, some fun puzzles and exercises, as well as lab-style classroom projects.

The web site includes a Teacher’s Guide, a list of Arizona Department of Education curriculum standards met in each section of the book, and “Frequently Asked Questions.”
