Fourth Avenue Underpass Construction Alert Toole Avenue Closure

This is a continuing series of construction alerts that will be issued throughout the construction of the Fourth Avenue Underpass Improvement Project. These alerts will announce construction, detour and closure information as it affects traffic. Motorists are asked to obey all posted speed limit signs within the construction area and be alert for construction crews and personnel working in the area.

PLEASE NOTE: OTHER DOWNTOWN CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY UNRELATED TO THE FOURTH AVENUE UNDERPASS PROJECT MAY ALSO AFFECT TRAFFIC.

Beginning at 9 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2009 through 5 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2009, Toole Avenue, between Congress Street and Fifth Avenue, will be closed. This closure is to allow the contractor to remove existing pavement, place a concrete crosswalk and repave the roadway.
