Oracle Road Closure At Roger Road and Limberlost Road

Underground utility work for the new Target shopping center on Oracle Road will require the closure of all northbound travel lanes on Oracle Road between Roger Road and Limberlost Road. Southbound travel on Oracle Road in this location will not be affected.

The closure will begin at 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2009. The road will reopen to travel at 6 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2009. If crews are unable to finish the underground utility work by 6 a.m. on Friday, the road will be plated to allow for through travel. Crews would then return to complete the work and close Oracle Road at 9 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2009 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2009.

Motorists are advised to use Stone Avenue or Fairview Avenue as an alternate route during the closure. Northbound traffic on Oracle Road approaching Roger Road will be detoured east on Roger Road, north on Stone Avenue and west on Wetmore Road back to Oracle Road. Electronic message boards and detour signs announcing this closure and detour route are in place to give motorists advance notification of this work.

The traveling public can expect delays when driving, bicycling or walking in this work area. For your safety, please observe all traffic control signage, message boards, and obey reduced speed limits. Watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
