Bike Fest 2008

About Bike Fest

What is Bike Fest?

Bike Fest is Tucson’s annual celebration of bicycles and bike transportation. The main purpose is to promote bicycling as a mode of transportation by hosting activities that increase community participation and awareness of bicycling. Whether you ride everyday, the weekends, or just always wanted to try, Bike Fest has an event for you.

Who organizes Bike Fest?

Bike Fest is organized primarily by the City of Tucson Bicycle & Pedestrian Program. It is a part of Clean Air Days, a multi-jurisdictional program to promote alternative modes of transportation. Bike Fest relies on community participation and the support of many local businesses, organizations, and clubs. We’d like to thank all the organizations and individuals volunteering their time and resources to support Bike Fest.

Where is Bike Fest?

Bike Fest is anywhere and everywhere around the Tucson region during the month of April. Please view the Calendar, Commuter Challenge, and Bike 2 Work pages for event details.

How to get involved?

If you are involved in an event that promotes bicycling during Bike Fest (April 1-30th) in the Tucson region, please contact us to add your event to the calendar. Many volunteer opportunities exist during Bike Fest 2009. Please contact us if you’d like to volunteer for an event.
