About the City of Tucson
Department of Transportation
The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) keeps Tucson moving smoothly and safely. TDOT's nearly 400 employees oversee the maintenance and reconstruction of nearly 4,400 lane miles of streets, and are responsible for hundreds of drainage structures, public art pieces, street lights and signs, and traffic signs and signals in Tucson. TDOT also operates the city's transit services, SunTran and Van Tran.
TDOT only handles transportation issues within the city limits of Tucson. Please contact Pima County Department of Transportation for streets outside the City or the Arizona Department of Transportation for matters pertaining to I-10 and the frontage roads.
